Who is responsible

This statement covers the Breakthrough website, artist survey, Preview Pass requests and enquiries handled by Breakthrough Global Music Productions, ABN 62 512 979 934.

What you choose to share

We collect the information you enter in our forms. This may include your artist or band name, location, genre, music links, experiences, goals, feedback and contact details. The survey identifies required questions; optional information is your choice. Please avoid including sensitive personal details or private information about other people.

Why we ask

Your survey responses help us understand Australian artists’ experiences and guide artist research and product development. Enquiry details help us respond to your message. Preview Pass request details, including your name, organisation, band or artist name, email, mobile, location, enquiry type and comments, help us review and respond to your request for access. We will contact you about artist early access or further research when you have opted in to that contact.

We may describe broad research themes or combine responses into summaries that do not identify individual participants. Identifiable answers and quotes require separate permission before publication.

How information is handled

Access is limited to people who need the information to administer the survey, respond to enquiries or carry out Breakthrough research and development. Our website and forms use Netlify, which processes and stores submitted information to provide those services. This necessary service processing is different from sharing your details with marketing partners. Hosting and service infrastructure may operate outside Australia.

We aim to keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for these purposes or required by law. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not submit passwords, identity documents, payment details or other sensitive information through these forms.

Permission and your choices

You can ask us to access or correct your information, stop contacting you, or delete an identifiable response. You can withdraw permission for future optional use or sharing at any time. This does not undo a use you previously authorised, and information already combined into a genuinely anonymous summary may no longer be traceable to you.

If disclosure is required by law, we may need to comply without your permission. Outside necessary service processing and legal requirements, we will seek your permission before sharing identifiable information for a new purpose.

Website operation and external links

Website providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the site. Administrative sign-in uses authentication technology. If you follow links to another platform, that platform’s own privacy practices apply.
